About Apple
Apple Inc. was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne with their first product being a computer named the Apple I. The following year, the company was incorporated and Ronald Wayne left 12 days later, selling his shares upon his departure. That same year, Apple released their Apple II computer which introduced new technologies such as cell-based color graphics and open architecture. By the 1980’s, Apple found immense success with their Macintosh personal computers. In the mid 1980’s, Steve Jobs resigned from Apple and went on to form NeXT Inc. Through the late 1980’s and 1990’s, competition from Windows and declining sales caused a major restructuring, ending with Steve Jobs returning to Apple in 1997. Through the turn of the century, Apple released their iMac, iPod, and iPhone, skyrocketing their success. With their prowess in diverse electronics, Apple Computer Inc. decided to change their name to Apple Inc. Beyond electronics, their software and programs also found many users and success, continuing their expansion into new products. After the release of the iCloud, Steve Jobs passed away and thuis many considered it the end of an era for Apple. After his passing, Apple released the iPad, as well as continued to develop their various products. Currently, Apple continues to create electronics and grow their product portfolio with new innovations and technologies.
